Quantum Computers around the corner?

Quantum Computers are the next major leap in computing speed and capability, by using quantum physics. What is quantum physics? Even the quantum physicists have a hard time explaining the intricacies of quantum physics.
Current computers use billions of bits, either set to 0 or 1, to store data information (images, text etc.) in RAM, hard drives and so on. A quantum computer uses the quantum state of subatomic particles to store information.
The physicist Paul Benioff was the first to think about computers using quantum theory in the early 1980's. NASA and Google have recently joined forces to produce the first commercial quantum computer.
